PKM Edukasi Pertolongan Pertama Kejang Pada Anak Epilepsi di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Tanabangka Gowa

Abstract

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder in which the activity of neurons is excessive and abnormal in the brain. Many areas assume and consider that epilepsy is not a disease but is caused by evil spirits and curses and can be transmitted through the sufferer's saliva. This educational method involves providing educational material and demonstrating first aid for epileptic seizures by Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Tanabangka Gowa teachers. In evaluating the effectiveness of this education, a pre-test and post-test were carried out. The results of this educational activity were that 100% of participants were able to understand and demonstrate first aid techniques for sufferers of epileptic seizures.
