Abstract

The family of school-age children is the stage of family development that begins when theoldest child enters school at the age of 6 and ends at the age of 12. At the stage of primaryschool age is an ideal time to train the motor skills of a child. The ability to
brush teeth properly and correctly is a fairly important factor for the maintenance of teeth and mouth.Good dental care is very important to be taught and applied during primary school age, because permanent teeth that appear during the school age period require good dental hygiene and regular attention. The purpose of this community service is to improve teethbrushing skills in school-age children. The target of community service partners are parents and school-age children in the working area
of Bangkala Health Center, Kec.Manggala, Makassar City. The results of the activities have an impact, namely the implementation ofthe dental brushing extension activities. Conclusion of a series of dental health education extension activities for parents and children of working school age at Puskesmas Bangkala, Kec.Manggala, Makassar City.
