Edukasi Persiapan Persalinan Pada Ibu Hamil Trimester III di Kecamatan Iwoimenda

In the second pillar of safe motherhood, it is mentioned that antenatal services are a means of pregnant women in preparing for their labor process. Mother's unpreparedness to face childbirth is one of the causes of high Maternal Mortality (AKI). If during pregnancy there were obstetric complications and the mother did not know about what preparations were needed ahead of childbirth, then the mother did not get the appropriate and timely service. This activity aims to provide education about the preparation for childbirth in the hope that pregnant women can know early preparation ahead of delivery. In this activity, pre and posttest are carried out by using questionnaires to measure the knowledge of pregnant women and provide education with the extension method. This activity was carried out at Iwoimenda Health Center on October 08, 2021. The result obtained from this activity is that the knowledge of pregnant women after the extension changes to be good by 86.5% of the previous knowledge is sufficient at 55.2%. This is because pregnant women get additional information about preparing for childbirth through extension. From this activity, it is expected that all pregnant women are active in using KIA books, not only stored but read and studied for mother's knowledge.
