A danger sign for a newborn is a condition or problem in a newborn that can result in death of the baby. Tri Dharma College through community service aims to increase the knowledge of mothers and families about the danger signs for newborns as an effort to prevent morbidity and mortality in newborns at Public Health Bontoa Maros and this perpetuation target is postpartum mothers one to 3 days. This service is carried out in three stages, namely, planning, implementing and evaluating. Planning is done with a preliminary survey to see the conditions in the field, the initial data obtained as much as 40% of mothers with sufficient knowledge and 60% of mothers with less knowledge. The implementation was carried out by providing health education about danger signs for newborns and by giving posters of newborn danger signs, the evaluation stage after health education was carried out, 85% of mothers were well knowledgeed, and 15% had sufficient knowledge. Postpartum mothers who are still knowledgeable enough are then given counseling again to increase knowledge about the danger signs of newborns.
