Mencegah Kerusakan Gigi Dengan Menyikat Gigi Massal Di SD Inpres Nipa-Nipa

In children aged 6-12 years, most dental and oral health problems are found. The underlying cause of this problem is a lack of self-awareness and parental awareness in getting children to brush their teeth properly and on time. Dental and oral health problems, if not treated, will cause pain in the teeth, resulting in children being lazy about doing activities, children not attending school and decreased appetite, resulting in growth and development problems in children. Problems in elementary school age children at SD Inpres Nipa-Nipa based on the results of observations on 31 children show that children have dental caries, so it is very necessary to take preventive measures, namely education and the practice of brushing their teeth. The aim of this activity is to familiarize children with brushing their teeth from as early as possible and to provide knowledge about how to brush their teeth properly and correctly. The implementation of the practice program for caring for children's teeth includes the stages of a lecture, question and answer process, and practice. The method for providing dental health education is to provide dental and oral health education to children by providing media that can be used such as the use of teaching aids and also direct practice.
