Background. Dental stains are colors that stick to the surface of the teeth, usually due to the color of food, drinks (suchas tea) or nicotine, which is a substance that produces dental stains. Teeth staining is usually yellowish, brownish and black in color due to people consuming cigarettes, coffee and tea.
Objective. To know the picture of tooth staining in people who consume tea in Malino District Tinggimoncong District Gowa Regency
Methods. This is a descriptive study. with samples taken by purposive sampling.
Results. Of the 221 residents in Malino Village, 60 people were examined. It was found that all people who have a habit of consuming tea have a brownish stain, among 60 people there are 12 who have a habit of drinking tea >3 times a day and of those 12 people all of their teeth have stains, then in people who consume tea for 50-60 years the stain is stained. formed covers the entire tooth. Conclusion. The longer a person consumes tea and the more often a person consumes tea in a day, the more extensive the stain formed and the brownish stain formed.
